Volunteer Training

A fantastic morning of learning and practice, covering:

-correctly leading the horse/pony,

-importance of developing a good connection with the horse/pony,

-the need to be accurate and gentle when making turns,

-importance of being exact in following instructions from the therapists,

-opportunity to sit on a horse and be led through a mock session,

-discussion on this experience and in what way it made them more aware of what a session must be like for our participants.

A big thank you to our therapy team who shared some specific ways hipportherapy is helping our participants improve in areas they have difficulties.
