Beanbags.jpg

Bean Bags

Different colours. Different texture to rings. Used for reaching and holding. Slightly more difficult to hold and manipulate. Can balance them easily on the horse.

BIGmack Switches.jpg

BIGmack Switches

Green one for Go. Red one for Stop. Can record any message and change the colour of the buttons. Helps to encourage upper limb activity and verbalization.

Bunny Ears.jpg

Bunny Ears

Used instead of reins, these little handles place the hands in a good position. They are similar to holding reins but with a bit more stability, while allowing enough mobility to challenge sitting balance.

Coloured Hoops (Thick & Thin).jpg

Coloured Hoops

Different thicknesses of rings provide different weights, the opportunity to use different types of grip and the feel of different textures. They are used for reaching activities and for hanging on the pole hooks.

Franklin Balls.jpg

Franklin Balls

Specialist sensory stimulating balls and mini peanuts. Used to stimulate muscles. Varies depending on how they are placed.

Peanut Balls.jpg

Peanut Balls

One firm one and one softer one . Allows the rider to be positioned with a bit more support, either through propping them up with the peanut under their arms or placing it under their trunk while they are on an “all 4’s”.

Shapes Train.jpg

Shapes Train

A game in which the rider must find different coloured shapes and match them to the holes on the train. Can be used for reaching and leaning. Assists in talking about colours and shapes. Provides another texture to feel.

Soft Ball.jpg

Soft Ball

A Pilates Chi ball. Is used to practice reaching with both hands and other exercises. Can be used as a support. Is another textural experience.

V Pillow.jpg

V Pillow

Used as a support, in a similar way to the peanuts. Can be used in front or behind. Is a different texture for the riders to feel.

Velcro Pad.JPG

Velcro Pad & Cushions

Cushions and objects can be stuck to the pad in various placement and position. This can be used to support the rider or engage them in stretching or grabbing exercises.
